When Planning your Exercise regimen, remember LOVE IT, The Choice is yours!
If the very thought of exercise conjures a racing pulse, a sweaty brow, and aches and pains aplenty, it’s time to think again. Exercise doesn’t have to mean hours of agony and painful wear and tear on your body. It can mean pure enjoyment…if you choose the exercise geared to your likes…and never your dislikes.
Step one is to consult your physician-always- before you proceed to step two.
Step two, Ask yourself what you enjoy doing the most; then get inventive with your plan. Do you like meeting new friends? Try and aerobics class and socialize at the juice bar. Prefer the outdoors? Go to the school track and meet the regulars.
Tie exercise to your hobby. If you love bird watching, try getting up with your feathered friends and trek the neighborhood to greet the day. Love the malls? Choose a time of day when traffic is light, and power-walk around a mall concourse instead of power-shop!
Once you begin your personalized exercise program, you’ll feel the effects right away. You’ll notice an improved outlook on life, a general sense of well being, and improved self-esteem…to say nothing of the positive steps you’ll be taking toward the prevention of diseases like obesity, atherosclerosis, and high blood pressure.
